Website Developer (Contract)

This role is for a short term project on contract basis.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to gather project requirements and create website specifications
• Develop responsive and visually engaging websites that adhere to industry best practices and SEO guidelines
• Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies
• Integrate and customize Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, including performance optimization and cross-browser compatibility
• Stay up-to-date with emerging web technologies, trends, and best practices to ensure continuous improvement
• Collaborate with web designers to implement responsive design and interactive features
• Perform regular website maintenance, updates, and backups
• Assist in the integration of third-party APIs and web services
• Optimize website speed and performance for an optimal user experience
• Ensure website security and apply security patches and updates when necessary

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Proven experience as a web developer, with a strong portfolio of past web projects
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies
• Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla
• Familiarity with responsive web design principles
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and web accessibility standards
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively
• Attention to detail and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus
• Knowledge of back-end programming languages (e.g., PHP, Python) is a plus
